Lynh Pham has worked in the restaurant industry since 2006, holding positions from Cashier to Regional Manager. Her passion for cooking developed during childhood and grew into an admiration of operations, management, and customer service. Combining traditional family recipes with industry knowledge served as a catalyst for opening her own business: Angie’s Vietnamese Cuisine.

Angie’s started in a ghost kitchen before growing into a mobile restaurant and caterer.  Now, in addition to catering and mobile pop-ups, Angie’s Vietnamese Cuisine has a storefront location in Elkins Park.  Lynh is constantly changing and evolving the menu, but some of the most popular items are bánh mì, bao buns and spring rolls.  Every dish is an invitation to discover the best of Vietnamese food with all senses, including smell, taste and texture.

Angie’s Vietnamese Cuisine uses the freshest ingredients and spices to highlight the sweet and savory flavors of authentic Vietnamese dishes. Lynh grows her own mint and Thai basil for use in her recipes!

Back to Earth Compost Crew is not Lynh’s first experience with composting.  She used similar services when Angie's first opened and throughout her restaurant management career.  Lynh chooses to compost for environmental reasons.  She believes that every little bit helps and can create a lasting impact.

Angie’s uses compostable items (to-go boxes, utensils, napkins, etc.)  and recycles as much as possible.  Although Angie's is primarily a take-out counter, if guests choose to dine-in, they use plates instead of take-out boxes.  Lynh is working on getting more smallware, including silverware.  For to-go orders, they only include utensils by request.  Angie’s also tries to purchase items in bulk to reduce commercial packaging, as well as sourcing local items when possible to reduce their carbon footprint.

According to Lynh, “Being green isn't easy, but every little change counts.  From composting food scraps to recycling to being mindful when sourcing paper products."

Since signing up with Back to Earth Compost Crew, Lynh says, “The service itself has been great.  I love feeling good about putting out full buckets for pick-up.  Back To Earth Compost Crew has made being green a lot easier.  The best thing is the customer service!  Every question asked gets answered.”

Visit Angie’s Vietnamese Cuisine in-person inside Creekside Market and Tap (7909 High School Rd, Elkins Park) and online at angiesvietnamesecuisine.com or www.instagram.com/angiesvietcuisine/
