My name is Casey Meizinger, I am a physician, personal trainer, and owner of the independent medical practice, Match Fit Medical. I live in Wyndmoor with my fiance and Plott Hound, Bryndal, and we absolutely love being a part of the Back to Earth Compost Crew. After moving from Philadelphia to Montgomery County we needed a new compost company, and we have been composting with Back to Earth Compost Crew for about 2 years now. The founder, Colleen, is truly invested in her mission and is an all-around great person. She offers composting courses, and her team makes pick-ups extremely easy.
I compost because it is a way I can do my part. As a physician, my life's work revolves around optimizing the health of others. Taking it a step further, our health also has a tremendous impact on the health of other people, animals, and the planet. I always want to lead by example for my patients by living a healthy lifestyle, and I personally strive to live a lifestyle that is also helpful for animals and our environment. Composting helps me keep that going, and it creates an opportunity for the food I eat to not only nourish me, but also our soil.
Before medical school, I was a Division I athlete and Exercise Science major in college. I wanted to integrate my life as an athlete with my life as a physician, so I created Match Fit Medical. Match Fit combines conventional medicine with exercise, nutrition, and sleep optimization. My focus is on using these modalities for disease prevention, mental health, and performance. I work in-home and virtually, covering Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, and Chester counties. I love being a physician, and I am very excited to offer Philadelphia something fresh and unique for how they can work with a doctor.
